Your room is located on the second floor of this historic building that you reach via a beautiful white staircase. On the mezzanine floor is your bathroom (shared with your neighbor, so with max 2 students) with walk-in shower and toilet. You enter your room and immediately notice the wonderful look and feel: large windows with lots of light, an authentic fireplace, playful wall elements and high ceilings. The room has plenty of windows and natural light, a sink with hot and cold water, a bed of 140 cm wide x 200 cm long with slatted base and mattress, storage space for your clothes, a desk and chair. Last but not least, you may also use the common student-cave on floor -1 where you will find a multipurpose room and a common kitchen where you will cook and get together with 5 other students living in this student house. You will find FatBoys, a spacious table and chairs, garbage cans, a cool kitchen with a combi-oven, an induction cooktop, a refrigerator, freezer, dishwasher and all the necessary amenities to cook a top meal. The room comes fully furnished so you don't have to bring anything and drag it upstairs, what a convenience! Please note: this is for students only. Your fixed costs are "all-in" 100 EUR per month, which means you don't have to deal with settlements and bills. This includes gas, heating, water, electricity and internet. PS: Green Kot label is in process (requested after complete renovations). The room can be rented as following: - Full Academic Year (12 months): 550 EUR rent + 100 EUR charges (all-in) There is always the option to extend to next academic year. The charges is an all-in fixed price for electricity, heating (gas), water, internet. The deposit (guarantee) is 2 months, which is the standard in Belgium for student rooms. This is refunded after your stay, if there is no damage to the room or the apartment. This must be paid when signing the rental contract, as a confirmation of your stay. This is for all student residences, and according to Belgian law (otherwise students would sign for various rooms without eventually showing up). It is not possible to rent without a deposit, and we cannot keep the room blocked until your arrival for this reason. Room & Residence Information: There are 6 student rooms in the residence and one studio. Floor -1: Kitchen + Living Room + Storage Room Floor 0: Room 001: Student Room with private bathroom (shower) but shared toilet (on floor 0, together with student of room 002), attention: 1 person bed 90 x 200 cm Room 002: Student Room with private bathroom (shower) but shared toilet (on floor 0, together with student of room 002), attention: 1 person bed 90 x 200 cm Floor 1: Room 101: Student Room with shared bathroom (shower + toilet) (on floor 1, together with student of room 102), attention: 2 person bed 140 x 200 cm Room 102: Student Room with shared bathroom (shower + toilet) (on floor 1, together with student of room 101), attention: 2 person bed 140 x 200 cm Floor 2: Room 201: Student Room with shared bathroom (shower + toilet) (on floor 2, together with student of room 202), attention: 2 person bed 140 x 200 cm Room 202: Student Room with shared bathroom (shower + toilet) (on floor 2, together with student of room 201), attention: 2 person bed 140 x 200 cm Floor 3: Studio with private bathroom and kitchen (rented already for the full academic year 2024-2025, unavailable!) All rooms are fully furnished with all items as visible on the photos, including wash table. There are large windows, so you get lots of day light, which is very nice. In your room, you will find a a mattress etc. (all furniture needed for your stay). You only must bring your suitcase. :) The residence is newly renovated in 2024, meaning that you will be one of the first to live there. (Only one semester before you students have lived here). It is a small scale residence with 3 floors so it is very cosy. We are open to both Belgian as international students, so also interns, researchers, PhD or Erasmus students. In floor -1, you will find a shared spacious new kitchen with all appliances: oven, micro, fridge, freezer, cooking plate, dishwasher etc. There is also a TV in the living room. You can connect your Smartphone to it and watch Netflix on the Fat Boys. We are located near the City Center, Central Station & Park Spoor Noord in Antwerpen, where you also find AP Hogeschool and University of Antwerp in walking and/or bicycle distance. Students usually use the Velo (sharing bike system): https://www.velo-antwerpen.be/en We also have supermarkets like Lidl, Colruyt, Jumbo and Albert Heijn nearby in walking distance. How to Apply? If you wish to apply for a room, please send us following information: - Proof of your ID/passport (DNI) - Current official home address - Phone number (incl country code) - Email - Proof of studies/internship/research/Erasmus in Antwerp (Acceptance Letter / Learning Agreement) - Proof of income (if the rent is paid by your parents, this can be their proof of income, eg. salary sheets of the past 3 months) - Emergency contact: eg. mother/brother, name, phone, email - Prefered start date of the rent - Prefered end date of the rent - Prefered room We will then evaluate your application, and if positive, send you a rental contract to overview and sign if you agree. If you would like to make a physical visit to the residence first, it's of course possible too if you are already in Belgium.
